Cuerden Hall is an amazing building which could equally make a beautiful hotel, apartments, a wedding venue or even a school but that is not the intention.
The priority is the restoration then the conservation of this heritage asset. It will be a labour of love and considerable investment for Colin Shenton and his team: to then commercialise it would be to compromise the style of the restoration, to limit the budget of every item and submit the building to great wear and tear.
Cuerden will become again what it was designed to be and spent its first 200 years being: a wonderful family home. There will be no commercial activities.
